This spreadsheet gives stats daily statistics on the number of level tests, both in Vinalopó and Ramón Llull, and compares these to the same day last year.
the updating is done daily in September and the earlier part of October, when it quietens down in terms of numbers, we do it weekly.
Creating new weeks
Usually I create the empty weeks at the beginning of a trimester
- copy the rows from a full ‘normal’ week
- a normal week is a Monday to Friday that doesn’t have the beginning or end of a month
- in the cell following the last week, paste the normal week
- if any pasted week contains the end of the month on Mon to Thurs
- you need to create an end month, which is a monthly total on that final day which is a sum of the previous week’s month total, plus the days (column D) within that week from that month.
- the month total for that week should be just a total of column D for the days in the new month
- the following week should be copied from a ‘normal’ week as befor
- if the pasted week is the first of a new trimester
- change the formula to ignore the trimester total from the previous week, and just sum the days (Column D) of that week.
- the following week should be copied from a ‘normal’ week as before
- regular trimeser, see video: Screencast Regular trimester
- summer trimester, see video: Screencast Summer trimester
Interpreting the data
- to look at how the years compare, go to the ‘chart’ sheet
- copy the last row, and paste it in the following rows until you reach the end of the entered data
- the chart shows how the years compare
- see video: Screencast Interpreting level test data
