How to … weekly Google Analytics update

  • go to analytics.google.com using nevalencia15@gmail.com
  • click on the bottom Native English account, and then the 1-Native English Master view
  • enter the dates for Mon to Sun for last week
  • click on compare to previous year
  • amend the previous year dates to also be Mon to Sun of the equivalent week
  • click apply
  • click on audience > mobile > overview
  • take a note of the totals for desktop, mobile and tablet from this year and last year
  • click on acquisition > overview
  • take a note of the totals for all types of acquisition
  • record these figures in the data sheet of the spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lN6Lso-KHMw5hPI7SoVz8vv67oxD9BL53gp8Efp_4t4/edit?usp=sharing)

  • In the dashboard sheet amend rows 104 to 119 to access the newly added row in data
  • In the list of dates after row 120 go to the end, copy the last line and paste it into the line below
  • now data has been updated and can be interpreted
